How To Get There?
Addo Game Reserve is easy to get into because it is only over 40 minutes down the road from Port Elizabeth.
If coming from Port Elizabeth – simply take the N2 north towards Grahamstown, then just leave this highway at Glasgow Road that turns into Barnetts Drive/R334. You’ll reach Addo Elephant National Park, passing through Kenton-On-Sea just before the road forks off into Addo.
You can also follow the N2 eastwards from Port Elizabeth until you reach Kenton-On-Sea when you can take a left turn onto the R334 to pass through Addo Elephant Park.
When driving in during spring or summer, one should make sure that they are fully prepared for many kilometers along dirt roads in dry conditions with temperatures over 30degrees Celsius – dust will be everywhere! If we’re unable to see all the attractions on a game drive before getting back for breakfast, then we can always eat later or perhaps not at all if we prefer. We like that you can also book picnic lunches here, sometimes these can be more interesting than staying in camp and dining.
